Baret doesn't appear to have a dedicated web page so I've provided his Fb account which has his contact information. I was lucky enough to visit 13 murals in Townsville by this artist and, for the area, he quickly became my favourite.
This mural was titled Equus. At first I thought Equus was a play on word for equestrian but after a google to spell 'equestrian' I learnt Equus IS a word and describes a genus of mammals in the Equidae family which includes horses, asses and zebras. (clearly, I don't know much about horses)
This 18m mural is a nod to the history of the site, the store owners love for horses and the history they share with Townsville. Nearby, a local stockyard existed and horse shoes were found across the area including the store in which this mural resides.
Equus shares a space with another artwork called 'Prismatic' by 815K1 and was painted with Prismatic's color pallet in mind to ensure the artworks complimented each other. Both artworks can be located on Flinders St and Aplin St
