Inscribed is written ''Golden the Links  that bind out far - flung empire''  A top sits a sculpture of a globe and behind a plaque dedicating the monument  to the brave souls of Strathfield who served and perish during WWI

The monument resides at the Strathfield Municipal Council located on Homebush & Redmyre Rd
