Diamando Koutsellis
First, I found this really cute and it's given me ideas for the 20 boxes of tiles in the garage I've tried to sell but haven't been successful with.
The artist made the rounds between Chalmers Road School, St Annes & Homebush Primary where children painted the tiles under supervision and were installed by the artist to decorate this Public BBQ in... wait for it... Freshwater Park.
Upon walking around the artwork I noted a local resident had placed a Where's Wally picture on the side for a bit of fun. It wasn't the only Wally picture in the park either, there were a few and each one made me cackle.
After discovering the artists webpage to link I've now discovered I had three other items on my map previously listed as unknowns to visit from this artist. I have good taste!
I wish I could create something like that.
ReplyDeleteI lack the painting skills too. haha I'd like to have a go at spraypainting stencils on tiles then clear coating them though. Not sure how it'll turn out but the picture in my head of a BnW feature wall in my garden featuring botanicals has been on my mind for a few weeks now. Might give it a go tomorrow for a bit of something to do
DeleteThis is so beautiful, its like an aquarium nearly lol
