My partner spotted this up ahead and asked if I wanted to stop for it. I wasn't sure how to say no.

Magic rule with anything seems to be once you set a precedent it sticks. 

I didn't want to stop at it and while I thought of delicate words to say 'not this one' but only this one as I feared if I said no he'd be inclined to not stop at any further down the road I had missed the opportunity. We'd already stopped.
