I almost started this post with 'this was my first Silo I'd ever photographed' but that would be a lie. Two years before on a Melb-Mildura road trip I passed the Brim Silo and snapped a photo.
I had no idea what it was at the time or that they were apart of a series of tourist attractions but when I saw this in the distance it certainly caught my eye and I simply needed to photograph it.
This silo is one of six in Western Australia. Strangely none of the others came up in the three months of research leading up to this trip, or I continuously dismissed the content. Regardless, after seeing this Silo I officially took an interest in Street Art.
The silo was commissioned in 2018 and was painted by Evoka1who honored the town by depicting remnants of the communities past and present.
