Luke Chiswell
2017
It's called 'Hold your head up' and positioned right in front of Belmore Park. Mr Chiswell's sculpture faces the main road so even if motorists simply see a random sculpture I like the idea of the subliminally message being seen.
I often see monuments and murals highlighting emotional turmoil but it's usually to bring awareness to a mental health cause rather than to bring an uplifting message through their art. Luke's sculpture is a dark and gritty sculpture and despite the somber tone simply screams positivity for me. It is important to hold your head up no matter your struggles in life.

I love this the title of the artwork made me lol, I like the surrealness of it very cool.
