Dawes Point - Jimmie Durham

 

I loved Jimmie Durham's ''Still Life with Stone & Car" a roundabout installation to celebrate the 2004 Biennale of Sydney, 

Mr Durham dropped a cow sized boulder of quartz on top of a 1999 red Ford Festiva then painted a smiley face on the quarts.

When first installed this sculpture confused passing motorists so a second installment has since been added to 'warn' oncoming motorists of the impending display. See that post here
