I really enjoy murals that teach me new things. This mural comes with a plaque that identifies this bird as a Regent Honeyeater. The Regent Honeyeater is a critically endangered bird and frequents the area of Chiltern and its surrounds. Bands have been placed around the feet of these birds and a program has been set up for birdwatchers to photograph these guys and upload photos and /or data to help wildlife careers keep track of them.
