Stopping to Smell the Flowers by Jimmy Rix I Canberra Public Art


An amazing Australian artist and BIG Thing creator Jimmy Rix created this Public Art wonder.
It's called Stopping to Smell the Roses and depicts a baby joey gifting flowers to it;s mother.

The sculpture was made in 2017, installed in 2018 and is a relatively raised 2D sculpture made of corten steel. Jimmy Rix has created two BIG Things that I know of The BIG Pencil Sharpener in Peppermint Grove, WA and 'Greater grater' for Sculpture in the Vinyards which appears to have been relocated to an unknown location.
