Alburys war memorial on Monument Hill was incredibly impressive.
I love the idea our diggers are watching over our town front the highest point in town.
The memorial was incredibly clean and well thought out.
The overabundance of rosemary kept the bee's happily buzzing
and the atmosphere was absolutely sensational
Designed by Louis Harrison the monument incorporates recycled materials as the buttresses were constructed using bricks from the near by pub that was being demolished.
This WWI memorial was completed in 1925 and at the time cost 3200 pounds, today that's $5676.95.
