I was surprised to learn the ''Kissing Galah'' Sculpture was a commission by a developer to beautify the estate. It was created in 2013 by local Canberran Artist Bev Hogg and Elizabeth Patterson.
For anyone into Sculptures or Street Art who doesn't recognize the name, Bev Hogg, you're in for a treat. I've recently learnt she's responsible for the adorable fish riding bikes and being swooped by magpie murals.
This sculpture is a real beauty. It's not quite up there with the BIG Galah in Kimba but it's a wonderful addition to Canberra and really needs to be seen while you're in the area.
