Belconnen's favorite penis shaped owl!

Look closely! Do you see it? It's probably not what Bruce Armstrong intended when designing his owl tribute for Belconnen but this sculpture, one of Canberra's most prominent BIG Things, has been nicknamed 'The Penis Owl' 

It's simply titled 'Owl' though and it was created in 2011 based off the Australian Powerful Owl Ninox Strenua.

The BIG owl is positioned in the middle of a median strip on the Corner of Belconnen Way & Benjamin Way. Parking's a bit rough for this area so I'd strongly suggest parking at 6 Ware Pl, Belconnen. It's a 30 second walk to the sculpture and a safe place to park.
