Guido van Helten

Guido van Helten completed this Silo early January and his social media suggests it was the 6th of Jan. Helten is a monochrome artists painting in Black and White tones. His style creates an aged/ memory appearance and he specializes in portraits.
I remember placing this on my roadside list but really didn't have the appreciation I have for them now. I certainly had no idea who Guido van Helen was lol
This was the only photo that has survived over the years. It was taken 9 months after it was painted and it's much more impressive in person than it is in photographs.
Helten has some fantastic work in Australia. Noteable Silo Art includes the Silos in Portland NSW, Coonalpyn, South Australia, a Fire Tank in the Winton Wetlands. Water Tower in Charville, QLD and the Wellington Dam in WA. Helten also has various large scale murals all over Australia. I've visited a few NSW murals in Woolongong, Nowra & Port Kembla
